报告题目：技术创新的颠覆性与放大性对首次公开募股公司的业绩影响

报告摘要：Instead of classifying innovations into amplifying and disruptive ones, we argue that an innovation can amplify and disrupt previous technologies at the same time. Accordingly, we develop a set of new metrics, disruption index (Dt) and amplification index, to capture the varying degree of amplifying and disruptive nature of an innovation. With the new metrics, we examine the two natures of an innovation and their impact on firm performance. By carefully controlling for the number of patents, firm level characteristics, we show that the two natures of firm-level innovation affect operating performance differently using the data on U.S. Initial Public Offering (IPO) firms from 1981 to 2006.

主讲人简介：

美国俄勒冈州立大学商学院副教授，2007年获得斯蒂文斯理工学院技术管理博士学位。曾在Academy of Management Review，Journal of Operations Management 等国际一流期刊上发表多篇论文。主要研究兴趣为：技术和创新管理，新产品开发及时间策略，二元性、文化双融及文化整合。
