Professor Li Dayuan was approved of a major project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China- "Research on New Enterprise Entrepreneurship Model Driven by Digital Innovation"

Recently, the committee of National Natural Science Foundation of China announced the evaluation results of major projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The project of “Research on New Enterprise Entrepreneurship Models Driven by Digital Innovation” presided over by Professor Li Dayuan from the team of academician Chen Xiaohong of our school, received funding.


Entrepreneurship driven by digital innovation has become an important driving force for current economic development. New industries, new formats, and new models that integrate digital technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence with business opportunities continue to emerge, prompting the value creation, decision-making mechanisms, and business models of new enterprises to generate fundamental changes. How to use digital means to effectively promote the entrepreneurship of new enterprises and promote the cultivation and growth of emerging industries is a practical problem that needs to be solved urgently.


The "Research on New Enterprise Entrepreneurship Model Driven by Digital Innovation" carries out research around problems about the new enterprise entrepreneurship model driven by digital innovation and its basic laws, the creation and growth of new enterprise driven by digital innovation, and how to promote the entrepreneurship of new enterprise driven by digital innovation. Starting from the unique mechanism of new enterprise entrepreneurship driven by digital innovation, the external user participation and value co-creation mechanism, and the internal entrepreneurial decision-making mechanism of new enterprise entrepreneurship driven by digital innovation will be revealed, and then the design and application of new enterprise entrepreneurship models will be analyzed. This project will help guide the practice of new enterprise entrepreneurship driven by digital innovation, and provide scientific basis and policy recommendations for the implementation of our country's "digital China", "double innovation" and high-quality development strategies.


This project is sub-project of the project "Research on Major Theoretical and Practical Issues of Innovation-Driven Entrepreneurship" led by Professor Cai Li of Jilin University. The whole project unites many top research team in related areas from well-known domestic universities and research institutions such as Jilin University, Central South University, Nankai University, Zhejiang University, Peking University, etc. The team has a total of 40 senior titled scholars, 4 intermediate titled scholars, 8 post-doctoral fellows, 40 doctoral students and 37 master students, including Professor Guan Jian and Zhou Wenhui, Zeng Jianghong, Associate Professor Song Juan, Post-doctor Liang Wei of the School of Business of Central South University. The research team has a multidisciplinary background in business administration, management science and engineering, computer science and technology, and has published a series of high-level research results in the fields of digitalization and artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship and innovation management.


This is another national major project obtained by our school after the project establishment of Hunan’s first National Basic Science Center "Resources and Environment Management Theory and Application in the Era of Digital Economy" led by Academician Chen Xiaohong this year. It is also the first major project of National Natural Science Foundation of China in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship in the country, which marks a new level of research on digital economy and innovation and entrepreneurship in our school.
