At 1:30 p.m, on November 26, the Fourth Postgraduate Psychological Drama Contest hosted by Graduate Student Affairs Office of CSU, undertaken by the School of Information Science and Engineering started in the Merit Hall of the main campus. The work “Awakened” prepared by Peer Psychological Mutual Aid Team of Business School has taken part in this contest.

This work of Business School mainly tells us a story about college life. The hero of this story is a grade three graduate student, whose name is Mo CHEN. His soul comes to the underworld and meets Meng-Po, to whom he tells his unfortunate stories: being despised by roommates, dumped by girlfriend and having contradictions with his parents, Mo CHEN can’t understand why he is so treated by his roommates, girlfriends, and parents. After drinking lots of alcohol, he comes near the lake in campus and suddenly falls into the lake. With the guiding of Meng-Po, he sees such a scene in the real word: his parents, friends and girlfriend are bitterly calling his name beside the hospital bed. They don’t despise him, but treats him sincerely. He just misunderstood them. After knowing the truth, he struggles with the underworld for recovering. As soon as his soul freed from the underworld, the real Mo CHEN lying in the hospital bed wakes up, but then he finds that he just has a dream after falling into the lake. Upon the curtain falling, the hall burst into thunderous applause. Some girls’ eyes even dimmed with tears. This story teaches us to face our life positively and it is touching to every audience.

With just more than ten minutes’ performing, actors from Business School showed the results of their one month’s efforts very well. Audiences also learned some truth of life from it. All the members of Psychological Mutual Aid Team of Business School have made great efforts to rehearse “Awakened”. After making the first in preliminary contest, they are neither conceited nor rash, but continued to perfect the footprint and shape the essence of every role. Depending on the fine preparation and excellent performance, “Awakened” stood out the contest and won the first prize in the final. This Psychological Drama Contest has promoted the positive outlook of life and values and it is also in favor of carrying forward the positive campus energy.

Thanks for the support from leaders of Graduate Student Affairs Office of CSU; Thanks for the hard-working of the School of Information Science and Engineering; Thanks for the efforts of all the present schools. Let’s get together next year!
